Summer

Waka Ama has been a staple summer sport code here at Fairfield College.  We are lucky to have Mrs Jenny Heta TIC of Waka Ama and a Dragonboat champion herself at the leading the way. 

FFC attends the Waka Ama nationals held in Rotorua at Lake Tikitapu annually in March for summer tournament week. 

Training is held each Tuesday initially and then increases as we get closer to the nationals. 

Fees: There is a small cost involved which we give as a koha to the owners of the Waka we use.  For those students attending nationals, it is a week long trip and will be incur costs.  TBC.
