Athletics & Cross Country

Fairfield College has a rich history in Athletics especially competing at the interschool athletic meets.  We are situated very close to Porritt Stadium where most of the action happens, and it is also where we hold our annual school athletics day. 

Practice Times: We are lucky to have Mr Mark Cornaga PE Teacher and a national athletics champion who has running/training sessions for any students who want to learn.  Fast and Fit is held on Tuesdays’ straight afterschool, if you interested in learning great running technique etc, this is where you want to be. 

Fees: There is no cost for training, however there may be a fee if students choose to compete at any of the interschool championships.  Competition entry fees are low, less than $10. If competing at the NZ Secondary School Champs, then there will be accommodation and transport cost. 

Uniform and Gear required: We will supply the competition singlet, students must have their own running clothing and shoes.
