Terms 2 & 3

Basketball is one of New Zealand's fastest growing sports and is New Zealand's number one sport by participation. At FFC we offer both competitive and social teams across junior and senior school levels for both boys and girls in the Waikato Secondary Schools Sports Competition.   

If you are wishing to play competitively then you will need to indicate this when registering. Trials will take place in March to form our competitive teams at both junior and senior level.   

For those wanting to enjoy the social side of Basketball, we also encourage this. You are welcome to list some friends you wish to play with in the registration form or alternatively we will place you in a team. Please note, social teams must have a parent/adult manager, it is optional to have a coach however we will not appoint coaches to social teams. 

We love our parents and whaanau to be involved at all levels of the game. From coach to team manager, score bench support or even referee; please let us know how you can help!

Practice Times:  For competitive teams, practice days and times vary depending on your team and coach but could be early morning or after school.  

Games:  Played during Terms 2 and 3. There may be travel involved as we may play at several different locations across Hamilton and Waikato area.  This is dependent on which grade your team is competing in. 

Fees:  TBC 

Uniform:  Playing uniform is supplied by the school. 

Gear Required:  Sneakers / basketball shoes and a mouthguard.
