At Fairfield College, we’re all about giving our students every opportunity to shine — not just in the classroom, but out on the field, court, track, and water too. Our goal is simple: to set our rangatahi up for life after school with confidence, real choices, to be respectful and responsible, to be the best that they can be.

Sport is a huge part of that journey. It’s where friendships form, challenges are embraced, and students discover just how much they’re capable of. It’s also a great way to stay active, build wellbeing, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

We offer a range of sports at Fairfield College, and we encourage every student — whether they’re seasoned athletes or just keen to give something new a go — to jump in. Our committed staff, supportive whaanau, and amazing community volunteers are right there backing our students every step of the way.

Our big inter-mountain events — Athletics Day, Swimming Sports, and The Gully Gallop — including other inter-mountain challenges, are absolute highlights of the school year. They bring everyone together, build mountain pride, and create the kind of memories that stick with you.

For those who want to take it further, there are opportunities to represent Fairfield College at Waikato, North Island, and national secondary school competitions.

We love celebrating the success of our students. We are re-introducing Sports Honours to recognise students who stand out and meet the criteria.
